This tribe is intended to serve as a place for Nexus Personality type folks to gather and help each other out. XD38 is a made up name for a personality type that I personally found very affirming and dead on. I thought others might as well and want to talk to each other since this kind of personality's strengths also seem to come with challenges for dealing with life.

We strive to maintain a high standard of courtesy and respect in our interactions.

Here's a summary of the general characteristics of a Nexus Personality from the XD38 site:

"- Extremely good pattern recognition ability.
- High verbal ability.
- High mechanical ability.
- Artistic.
- A generalist, not a specialist ("protean.")
- Romantic imagination.
- Innovator, explorer.
- Neotenous--possessing juvenile characteristics throughout life.
- Androgynous (in personality, not physique)
- A lifelong hunger for something real; an appetite for underlying reality, taken straight and undiluted--not satisfied with usual elements of success (for instance, prosperity, entertainment, respect of the community).
- Deep-seated confidence that one's own life has a meaning--often never mentioned to anyone for fear of sounding crazy or elitist. This confidence persists even through radical personal setbacks, depression, and so on.
- Usually one or more of the following: attention-deficit disorder, intermittent depression or bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (not obsessive-compulsive personality, which is entirely different); migraines; certain types of stomach trouble related to the above conditions.
- Almost always: Web page contains their poetry and a striking, somewhat unusual picture of them, generally displayed with pride.
- Often, no boundaries. Instant buddies with whomever they meet. Surprised when others aren't equally open."
