I am happy to see that this tribe has already been created, as I would have done so if it were not when I originally did my search. I have been studying giftedness for a good while now in a personal manner, along with many, many, many other things, and I have come to view it as a personality type. In my search to more clearly understand and define what giftedness actually was, the term "nexus personality" came to me one day as I was contemplating by a lake.

Interestingly, shortly after associating the term with giftedness, I did a web search for the term, out of curiosity, and to my utter surprise came up with the XD38 website. The characteristics/traits that the creator used to define her version of the nexus personality type VERY closely matched those that defined giftedness, yet to my surprise again, she never made the connection between giftedness and the nexus personality type. It did not help at all that giftedness has been rather strongly misunderstood over the course of many decades, with a focus/bias only toward intellectual development.

I would suggest to all you nexi who might have an interest to do some web searches on gifted, giftedness, genius, and see what comes up...look at the characteristics and traits used to define it...cross reference between the many different websites and books, and see what you think. This is an EXTREMELY fascinating area of study and exploration.
